We had a busy holiday season this year, we had both sides of Chad's family parties, both sides of my family parties, and then we both had a work party. So we always had something going on which was nice, because it made Christmas come sooner, and the month be over that much quicker.
Christmas Eve we always spend with my family doing dinner, and Christmas pj's. We also did Christmas that night with them since we all would not be together on Christmas day. It was great letting the 2 boys play together and Colten rolling around them and wanting to play too. It was a nice relaxing night.
When we got home we opened up our Christmas pjs and Porter also gets a Christmas blanket each year. Then Porter and I got cookies and milk out for Santa, and then off to bed he went so Santa could come.
Santa did come, but the first thing Porter looked at was the kitchen table and saw that the cookies and milk were gone and he was not happy about that. It upset him that Santa ate the cookies and milk. It was super cute. I explained to him that that is why we put them out was for Santa to each them and the showed him that we had our own cookies and milk for later if he wanted. We went into the front room saw all the presents and waited for dad to get up and get ready so we could start opening presents. It was so great this year with him knowing what was going on and being so excited and happy about it all. Plus we were all healthy this year. We all got many things this year, and all got what we had wanted.
After we finished Christmas morning at our house, we went over to breakfast at Chad's parent's with his sisters and their families. Porter and his cousins all get along great. And I am so excited that there are going to be 2 new babies in the family next year.
After hanging out with Chad's family we went home, my parents came out, and then we just relaxed for the night and watched some movies and then went to bed.
It was a really great Christmas. I always love that time of year, I love being around family, the spirit, the traditons, and the whole smell and taste and feeeling of Christmas.
